Why blog in English?
English is not my mother tongue. Therefore, this text takes much longer to write.
I have to stop and think. Look for the right words. Simplify.
It takes time...
And that’s where the joy and beauty come in.
Why rush? It’s not like it’s an exam with a cut-off date (I had to look up that expression).
I enjoy my routine for writing in English. There’s more space, more contemplation. It feels more relaxing, almost meditative.
Furthermore, it’s a fun and rewarding challenge to express something in a simple way. Simple is hard. Like Blaise Pascal once said:
I would have written a shorter letter, but I did not have the time.
